Emeraude Cruise launched the Emeraude on December 16, 2003, the first ever luxury cruise ship designed as a direct inspiration from the past in Vietnam. Holiday-makers on Emeraude will cruise around scenic, memorable and beautiful Halong Bay.  French owner, Eric Merlin, accidentally discovered the existence of a magnificent fleet of four single-wheeled paddle steamers-Emeraude, Perle, Saphir and Rubis, operating in Halong and other parts of Vietnam from 1906 to 1945 from a black and white postcard he bought in France!

DAY 01: HANOI – HALONG BAY ( L, D)

12.00 – 13.00: Upon arrival at the port, a warm welcome by Emeraude staff and then board the shuttle boat for a short transfer (approximately 5 minutes) to the Emeraude Cruise. Welcome cocktail and check in on board the Emeraude.

13.00 – 18.30 The Emeraude cruises through Halong Bay passing by some of the most scenic locations including Yen Ngua, Con Coc Mountains and a floating village. A Vietnamese cuisine demonstrantion at the sun deck 13.00 and 14.30

Buffet lunch in restaurant.

There is an optional guided visit to Sungsot Grotto (Grotto of Surprises), weather and tide permitting. Option of afternoon tea with pastries on the sundeck or in the restaurant and an aperitif before dinner.

18.30: Arrive at Hang Luon lake for overnight on board.

19.00 – 21.00: International buffet dinner is served in the restaurant

Movie on the sundeck or in the restaurant. Accommodation and overnight on board the Emeraude at Hang Luon lake, Halong Bay.

DAY 2: HALONG BAY – HA NOI ( B)

06.00: Tai Chi Class.

07.00: The Emeraude sets sail once again through the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay heading for Halong Public Port.

07.00 – 09.00: European buffet breakfast is served in the Emeraude restaurant.

08.30 – 09.45: Check out of cabin.

09.45 – 10.00: Transfer by shuttle boat back to Halong Public Port. End of Services
